LITTLE EXPLORERS

NATURE CENTER PRESCHOOL

OUR MISSION

Little Explorers Nature Center Preschool is a respectful, diverse, and inclusive community. Its team of nurturing and educated professionals provides an innovative, hands-on curriculum that allows children to build confidence through investigation and exploration of the natural world.

Our campus includes both indoor and outdoor learning experiences. Our outdoor fenced-in state-licensing-approved playground spaces are well-groomed, natural, learning environments.

Each of our indoor classrooms is divided into six learning centers: dramatic play, construction, art, writing, math, and science. These spaces are thoughtfully designed to support your child's learning goals and align with the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.

At Little Explorers, we believe that children learn best through hands-on experiences, inquiry, and exploration in a nurturing environment. Our educational philosophy centers on fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning by connecting children with nature and encouraging them to ask questions, solve problems, and collaborate with others. We strive to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, and intellectually—preparing them for lifelong success.

Little Explorers provides children with unique learning experiences alongside our feathered, furry, and scaly friends. There is much we can learn about animals: how they change, what they eat, how they protect themselves, and how they communicate. Animals also offer many sensory stimuli, such as touch (furry, soft, slippery, and cold) and sound (the croak of a frog or the ba of a sheep). Little Explorers also hosts weekly nature classes where children can explore specific topics. It will be an experience they will remember for a lifetime!

At Little Explorers Nature Center Preschool, families and parents are integral to every child’s success—your involvement enriches our community and helps each explorer thrive. It truly takes a village.
